The Run SMART Project has partnered with the Scranton Running Co and their latest initiative, The Oxygen Project. The goal of the project is to help participants quit smoking through a “running-centric fitness routine, which harnesses the power of group therapy.”
Run SMART is excited to be involved in such an innovative approach to a serious problem that affects everyone. It is estimated that over 50,000 people die each year due to secondhand smoke inhalation. The Project aims to make a regular fitness routine the primary method to combat addiction, unlike most smoking cessation programs. Run SMART will provide 15-weeks of customized training for each participant.
