Marylee Martucci Sets Another Marathon PR

Earlier this year we mentioned Marylee Martucci’s great start with coach Alicia Shay setting three new PRs in less than three months. At the Dubai Marathon she shaved 7 minutes off her performance last year in Chicago and this past weekend she set her second consecutive Run SMART marathon PR at St. George.

Jamesina Simpson Cracks 3-Hr Barrier At St. George

Run SMART client Jamesina Simpson achieved her longtime goal of breaking 3-hours in the marathon this past weekend at the St. George Marathon in Utah. Her official time was 2:59:21! [Full results]

Big congrats to Jamesina and her coach Ann Alyanak. This performance shattered Jamesina’s previous PR from 8 years ago by 10 minutes.

Cathrine Wolden Runs 2:48 At St. George Marathon

Run SMART client Cathrine Wolden was the 6th female and 1st masters finisher this past weekend at the St. George Marathon. [Full Results] Her time of 2:48:39 was a 2-minute PR.

We’re extremely proud and excited to see Cathrine reach one of her longtime goals of breaking 2:50 in the marathon. When she signed up for coaching and started working with Run SMART coach Alicia Shay back in 2010 her PR was 3:13. When you’re that fast and you go out and drop 25 minutes off your time in 3 years – you’re a badass! Your coach is a badass too!

Katie Grove Sets 24 Minute PR At St. George Marathon

Run SMART client Katie Grove of Smyrna, GA set a 24 minute PR in the marathon on October 7th at the St. George Marathon in St. George, Utah. Coming into the race with a previous best of 3:55, Katie ran 3:30:40, not only crushing her old personal best, but also qualifying for the Boston Marathon. (Full results)
