Run SMART Coaches Take Georgetown And Stanford Jobs

We’re very proud and excited to announce that Run SMART coaches Mike Smith and Chris Miltenberg have accepted head coaching positions at two of the top track programs in the country.

Today, it became official that Smith will replace Miltenberg as head women’s cross country coach at Georgetown University. “I can’t imagine a better situation for Georgetown than to choose Mike Smith as a coach,” said Jack Daniels. “Flagstaff’s loss is definitely Georgetown’s gain, I believe Mike can be one of the most outstanding college coaches this country has seen.” That’s an endorsement from the greatest running coach ever!

Chris Miltenberg Named National Coach Of The Year

Big congrats to Run SMART coach Chris Miltenberg for being named the National Women’s Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association after bringing home Georgetown University’s first ever NCAA title in Women’s Cross Country.

On Monday, with Miltenberg at the helm, the Georgetown women’s cross country team won its first national championship in program history. A storybook ending to the season for Miltenberg, a 2003 graduate of Georgetown, to bring a national championship back to his alma mater where not only he competed, but so did his wife.

Miltenberg’s Hoyas Win Pre-Nationals

Run SMART coach Chris Miltenberg is having a career year over at his day job as head coach of the Georgetown University Women’s Cross Country team. This weekend his Hoya women won the Pre-National meet at Indiana State University.

“Obviously, we’re pretty pleased with the results,” Women’s Head Cross Country Coach Chris Miltenberg said. “We’re a young team, but it was a good experience for us to be in a race with this level of competition and to come away with a strong performance.

Miltenberg’s Women Dominate Paul Short

Run SMART coach Chris Miltenberg‘s full-time gig is over at Georgetown University where he’s head women’s cross country coach. Today, his team ran like a team and dominated the Brooks Paul Short Run. They managed to put 7 in the top 17 with a :37 spread across all of their runners (full results). Always happy to see Run SMART coaches having great success in their day jobs! Coach Miltenberg LeadsTwo Athletes To All-American Status

Run S.M.A.R.T. coach Chris Miltenberg is also head women’s cross country and distance coach at Georgetown University. This weekend two of his collegiate athletes finished 5th and 8th overall in the 1500 meters at the NCAA Championships in Fayettville, AK.

Chris Miltenberg, a 2 time All-American at Georgetown University is now offering private coaching services for The Run S.M.A.R.T. Project. Chris is currently the head women’s cross country and distance coach at Georgetown University.
