Last time Josh Weinrobe signed up for a Jack Daniels Training Plan he hit his goal time by the second finishing last year’s Chicago Marathon in 3:13:00 – a 15-minute PR! Convinced we were some kind of geniuses he signed up for another plan geared towards the Eugene Marathon this past April with a goal time of 3:05. We thought he could run a bit faster so we geared the schedule’s paces and workouts towards a prescribed time of 3:01. Can you guess what happened?
Jack Daniels Training Plan customer Scott Weber set a new PR at the Illinois Marathon. Scott finished in 3:49:11, roughly 18 minutes faster than his previous best! [Full Results] Afterwards, he told us he is now shooting for 3:35 at Chicago in the fall.
Jack Daniels Training Plan customer Tim Hodges set a new PR at the Run For Life 10-Miler in Topeka, KS. Hodges also won the 25-29 age group in 1:05:42 (6:34 per mile). [Full Results] This is Tim’s second PR following his latest JD Training Plan. Last year while following his first plan he dropped his marathon time by 26 minutes!
A few weeks later Hodges ran the Olathe Marathon in 3:18, almost 20 minutes faster than his time the previous year! [Results]
Proud to post more positive feedback to our growing Testimonials page. This comes from three-time training plan customer Karin Getz who continues to get faster and faster.
I can’t tell you how much I love this training program. When I started running, I had no idea what to do to get faster. I dropped 20 minutes from my PR at the Yuengling Half Marathon in March. Vince has been the greatest, always there with support and to answer my sometimes silly questions. Super excited to finish my first marathon!!!!
Jeanine Holmlund set a new 5k PR at the Zippy 5k in San Francisco, CA after following her personalized Jack Daniels Training Plan. The 47-year-old from Orinda, CA finished second in her age group in 19:23 (6:15 per mile). Full Results. Her PR coming into the race was 19:57 set back in 2010 and her time last year at Zippy was 20:18.
Congrats, Jeanine! Who says you’re supposed to slow down as you get older?!?!?
After purchasing a Jack Daniels 5k Training Plan, Nick Meeson of Bowling Green, OH set PRs for 400M, 800M and 2-miles. He also reached his main goal of going sub-15 by running 14:56 at the Jesse Owens Invite at Ohio State University. Nick was kind enough to let us share his results…
My main goal with the plan was to return back to my normal running self which was sub 15 in the 5k. I did that tonight. I went 14:56. 10 minutes after the race, my words were FINALLY!
Also, I never had been able to break 2mintues in the 800 before. I went 1:58. I never broke 58 in the 400… I went 53 this season! I lowered my 2 mile time to 9:13, a 5 second PR!
I want to thank you for your plan that you sent me, it helped me get back and get better after a two years of running very poorly.

Ed Balow purchased a Jack Daniels Half Marathon Training Plan last December. His goal race is in two weeks at the Run Raleigh Half. Recently, Ed checked in with us after jumping in a local half marathon simply to do his marathon pace workout.
My intention was to run it as a 2 mile easy, 8 miles at marathon pace workout, but to go hard the last 5K of the race. Amazingly, it went according to plan. It was fun to have those first 2 easy miles because I pretty much blew by everyone for the next 5 or 6 miles until I settled into the group of folks at my 7:30 pace. I had lots of energy left after 10 miles and was able to finish strong coming in at 1:39:30 which blows my old half PR out of the water by about 15 minutes!
Regardless of what happens in two weeks I already consider this plan a great success. You got me into starting corral C for the Chicago Marathon and sub 1:40, and I didn’t even have to race very hard to get it!
Congrats on the new PR, Ed! Good luck in Raleigh!
More positive feedback. This from Danielle Duhon…
I am following my Jack Daniels Training Plan to the second to train for Grandma’s Marathon June 16 (goal 3:35). I ran Dallas Rock & Roll Half yesterday in warm weather and had a 2 minute PR running 1:38:57 (the plan predicted a 1:39:45 by week 9). Of course I’m ecstatic and wanted to let you know how well the plan is working!

Jason Klaitman just reported to us that he set a new PR at the Tobacco Road Marathon after following his very own Jack Daniels Training Plan.
I had what I feel was a very good race. I wanted to run a 2:59, but it was hotter and more humid that I would have liked and I fought off cramping in the second half of the marathon – something I have never dealt with before. I ended up running a 3:03:15. My previous PR was 3:11:07, so a big improvement and good enough for 3rd in my AG and top-30 OA. I think on a flatter course like Chicago, I could have easily broken three hours, but regardless, I re-qualified for Boston.
I really appreciated your plan: I ran more miles on back to back days then I have ever run but stayed healthier than I ever have during a marathon training cycle.
Congrats, Jason! Next stop, sub-3!!
Peter Kosgei started following his Jack Daniels Training Plan about a month and a half ago in a courageous attempt to make a comeback to competitive running suffering serious injuries in a brutal mugging attack.
We’re happy to announce that his amazing comeback is well underway! Last week, Peter won the Binghamton, NY St. Patrick’s Day 4-Miler in 20:10 (5:03 per mile). Full Results.
