Boston Weather Didn’t Stop Joe

Joe Kelly of Scranton, PA signed up to break 3-hours at Boston this year. Despite the wind, rain and cold temps Joe managed to reach his goal, even dipping a few minutes under his VDOT Projected time (2:59:27). His official time was 2:57:32 (54.4 VDOT). [Full Results]

That plan was nearly perfect. Even with the lower miles, I squeezed out a 2:57:32.

Truth be told I felt so ready and thrilled with the result. 2017 was a bad year with injuries, so thank you for helping me get back on track.

“Catered Perfectly For Me”

Amy Workman of Paris, France set a new PR at the Paris Marathon with a finishing time of 3:32:20. [Results] This was not just any PR, it was a huge transformation from her previous best and now she has her sights set on Boston in 2019.

I recently finished this past Sunday beating my PR by over 40-minutes using your plan. I thoroughly enjoyed following it as it was catered perfectly for me.

Stephen Havas Wins Age Group, Sets New Half PB

Stephen Havas of Vancouver, BC set his second half marathon PR while following his customized 24-week marathon plan. On a course with lots of elevation changes he still managed to lower his personal best to 1:16:26 (61.6 VDOT) and finish first in his age group.

Two For One

Lana Goldman of Northbrook, IL set two PRs while following her 12-week half marathon plan. A week before her goal race, The March Madness Half, Lana set a “slight PR” for 8k finishing in 38:22. She then improved her half marathon best the following week finishing in 1:54:03 /38.7 VDOT [Full Results]

Joost De Raeymaeker Wins Age Group At Tokyo Marathon

Joost De Raeymaeker of Belgium entered the Tokyo Marathon with a PB of 2:35:36 after following a plan in Daniels’ Running Formula. To step it up at Tokyo he had Dr. Daniels himself send training to prepare for the race.

Sherri Wise Shaves 20-Minutes Off Her PR

Sherri Wise of Tallahassee, FL set a new PR at the Snickers Albany Marathon:

I BQed by a little over 5-minutes in my division and shaved 20-minutes off my previous PR.  I was also able to greatly improve while staying uninjured using the plans created for me (this was my second time using RS). I’m a big advocate of this program! Thanks for all the help!

Jody Schlegel Sets 18-Minute PR At Run Hard Columbia Marathon

Jody Schlegel scored our running hat trick at the Run Hard Marathon in Columbia, SC:  An 18-minute improvement on her personal best, an age group victory (F45-49) and BQ.

My goal was to average a 9-minute-mile pace (3:56:00) or even better to qualify for Boston in my age group (3:55:00). I was super excited to beat my goal and reach a new PR with a time of (3:48:52). The training plan I received and followed was very challenging and very effective!!

“I Blew My Estimated Time Out Of The Water”

Danielle Henty of Seattle, WA set a new PR at the Lake Sammamish Half Marathon. Her official time was 1:29:57 placing her second in her age group. [Full Result]

I’ve been following this program for my spring marathon, and today I raced a target half marathon and PR’d!! I blew my estimated time out of the water by 3 minutes and ran a sub-1:30. Super excited, and this whole cycle has been breakthrough after breakthrough. I know I have so much more potential, even at 39 going on 40. I’m a huge believer in this program.
