Joe Ashley Wins M35 At Inaugural British Masters Champs

Joe Ashley of Brighton, England won the M35 age group at the Inaugural British Masters Championships in the Vitality Westminster Mile. [Result] Joe’s time of 4:33 was an 11-second PR. He’s currently in the middle of a 12-week 1500m training cycle for the South of England Masters Champs next month and then on to World Masters in September.

Despite challenging conditions Jacquii Alexander improved her personal best by almost 4-minutes at the Brooklyn Half Marathon. This bumps her VDOT up 1.5 points to 39.66.

I just finished my first Run SMART Project program. I totally surprised myself in extremely wet conditions, and ran even faster than my VDOT projected in a new PR of 1:51:43. Woohoo!

I am thrilled! Thank you – your plan was perfect!!!!

Na’eem Conway Gets His First BQ In Mt. Charleston

Congrats to Na’eem Conway for getting his first BQ with a 10-minute PR at Mt. Charleston. Na’eem trains with the NY Flyers, our local training group in NYC. He’s been steadily improving since he started with us back in 2015. Look at the progression of his PRs and VDOT score (Note:  before Delaware his PR was 3:35:05):

Two For Two

Greg and Sara Gilliam took home two PRs and two BQs from the Mt. Charleston Marathon.

Thank you Run SMART! I finally beat my 2009 marathon PR by over 9-minutes! I loved this plan and the results showed. My husband also PR’d and BQ’d using his second Run SMART plan. We are ecstatic and can’t wait for Boston 2019! – Sara

“I Really Like The Fact That I’m Training With A Purpose”

Gabe Henneberger (pictured on the inside) of Enterprise High School in Alabama has made incredible progress the last several years while following our training plans. He recently finished 6th at the Alabama State Meet in the 3200m. His official time of 9:36 (66.7 VDOT) was a new PR. [Full Results]

Ann Alyanak Qualifies For The Olympic Trials

Run SMART Coach Ann Alyanak qualified for the Olympic Trials this past weekend at the Illinois Marathon. She finished third overall with an official time of 2:43:00 (60.2 VDOT). [Full Results]

This is the third time Ann has qualified for the Marathon Olympic Trials, but first since having three kids. 😉 She finished 7th overall at the Olympic Trials her first time around back in 2008.
