How Fast Can You Run The Chicago Marathon?

Back in January of 2013, Rowan Jones completed his first custom training plan from Dr. Jack Daniels when he finished the Disney Marathon in 3:12, a 37-minute PR at the time! 3-years later after much hard work and dedication, following several more training plans and setting steady PRs, Rowan has now erased 1-hour off his marathon personal best.
Yesterday, at the Chicago Marathon Rowan finished in 2:49:08 [Full results]. He was 322nd overall out of well over 40,000 runners. His official time was 6-minutes faster than his previous best set in Boston last year.
Even more impressive were his splits and how evenly he paced himself throughout. After the race, Rowan commented, “I even had a kick in the final few kilometers!”
