Fresh off her Maryland state title in XC this past fall Emily’s hot streak continued sweeping the 1600M and 3200M at the state indoor championships this past weekend. In the 1600M she set a new PR and state record in 5:02.06!
The two state titles were the third and fourth overall for Mulhern in track and field, bringing her total number to seven when you count the cross-country titles.
Previously, she won the 3,200 state title during the 2013 outdoor track season as well as the previous indoor season.
The stage is now set for the upcoming outdoor track season, the final one of Mulhernās high school career. She hopes to achieve her lifelong goal of going under five minutes in the 1,60, regaining her title and setting her best time in the 3,200.
