Jack Daniels Training Plan customer David Winfield of El Macero, CA set another PR at the Davis Stampede 5k this past weekend. This was David’s second consecutive training plan from Jack culminating in a new PR. He finished in 24:58.
One of the great things about Jack’s book, Daniels’ Running Formula, is that it’s caught on with so many high school and college coaches across the country who use it as a guide to coach their athletes. Most runners who go through the high school and college ranks often don’t realize the influence this one man had on their careers.

Jack Daniels Training Plan customer Stephen Boulet set two PRs this past weekend. Following his second training plan from Jack, Stephen set out to run 1:48:00 at the Suncoast Half Marathon in Lakewood Ranch, FL. He smashed his goal and his PR by running 1:46:06. [Full results]
The next day (not part of his plan) Stephen mentioned, “I actually ran a second ‘event’ on the following day, for which I also set a new PR. I’m sure you’ll be proud to see your services put to such fine use.” Heh. We are proud because Stephen ran 9:12.5 for a mile but not just any mile – a Beer Mile! Not bad considering you have to drink a full can of beer after every quarter mile. This is the first time we can report a new Beer Mile PR. If anyone needs a “Running Under The Influence” t-shirt, it’s this guy.
