Run SMART client Jeff Weatherhead finished 8th overall in the 800 Meters, M60 division at the USA Masters Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Jeff dropped 4 seconds off his previous best this year finishing in 2:38.16, only three seconds off the All American standard for his age group. (Full Results)

Run SMART client Tom Klimek finished 8th overall at the Double Trouble 15k Trail Run in Morgantown, PA. His time was 1:15:39, over three minutes faster than his finish on the same course last year. (Full Results)

Run SMART client Cathrine Wolden was first female and 4th place finisher overall at the Pound Ridge 5k. Her official time was 18:51 which is the fastest 5k she’s ever run. (Full results) This is Cathrine’s 6th PR with Run SMART since she signed up for coaching a year and a half ago.

When Sumner Smith bought a 5k training plan about 10 weeks ago her 5K PR was 21:30 set back in 2004. This past weekend at the Firecracker 5K in Asheville she dropped over a minute off her personal best of seven years running 20:26! She was 2nd female overall and noted afterward the woman she outkicked for 2nd had beaten her by over 20 seconds in a 5k several weeks ago.
Upon reporting her results to the Run SMART team, Sumner said, “just want to tell you one more time how happy I am with this training plan. In addition to running faster than I ever have, I think this is also the longest period of injury-free running I’ve ever had.”
