Run SMART client KC Cohen ran 45:34 (7:20 per mile) at the Scotland Run 10k last weekend in Central Park. This was KC’s first race in almost two years and her fastest 10k since July of 2008!
“KC had major ankle surgery last March so when she signed up for coaching I cut her training back to spend more time strengthening her ankle and cross training,” said her coach Brian Rosetti. “She’s showed a lot of patience and resilience coming back from a very difficult situation and it’s starting to pay off.”
Entering this race KC had only run two quality sessions and had just gotten up to four runs a week. It was more of a fitness check than a real race at this stage in her training so we’re super excited to see she’s back out there and on track to set some big PRs this year.
