Join Miriam Rosetti, Sunday April 10th in New York City, for the first workshop ever on Yoga for Spinal Fusions!
It is estimated that somewhere between 200,000 – 300,000 spinal fusions are performed annually in the US. Surgeries to correct the spinal asymmetry and instability caused by scoliosis are as varied as each individual’s scoliosis. However, there are some basic principles that can be applied to make a yoga practice not only accessible, but essential to the health of the spine and overall well-being of the individual.
This workshop will be valuable for students who have had surgery and are in interested in developing a yoga practice, for those who have been considering surgery and want to understand the implications for movement, for those with a current yoga practice wanting to learn more, and for teachers working with students with spinal fusions.
