After about 30K, five Run SMART clients are on pace to set new personal bests.
Cathrine Wolden has been getting stronger throughout the race, averaging 7:00 pace per mile and now about 6:55 pace through 30k. Boston is known to slow you down on the hills late in the race so this is an incredible development. Cathrine’s previous PR is 3:13 so she’s looking at possibly a 12 minute improvement! Fingers crossed.
Tom Klimek has hovered around 7 minute pace per mile and is projected to finish in about 3:04 through 30k.
Collin Martin has run evenly throughout the race as well hovering around 6:22-6:23 pace throughout. He’s projected to finish in about 2:47, which would be a huge PR and right around his goal for the race.
Erin Strout has spent the year coming back from an injury that caused her to miss Boston last year but she’s been looking strong throughout the race today. She’s been holding PR pace throughout.
Alex Gardner, who has missed a lot of time due to sickness is hanging tough right now, hovering just below PR pace through the halfway mark (1:48)! Considering the trials and tribulations Alex has been through as of late, this is an amazing story.
