Running barefoot has become a hot topic lately. The benefits are undeniable … Stronger feet, a more efficient stride and the possibility of running injury-free all lure runners into giving it a try. For some reason the idea seems new and radical, but running barefoot or with minimal footwear was the only option available no longer than a generation or two ago. Consider that the advent of modern shoe technology is only about 30 years old and Nike started adding air to their midsoles in 1979.
