The Run SMART Project presents the first ever VDOT O2 Coaching Clinic and Certification by Dr. Jack Daniels. This year’s special event will also feature coaching legend Frank Gagliano, aka “Gags”. Running coaches of all levels and stripes (high school, college, club, charity, private) are welcome to join us on Sat, March 21st in New York City.
As part of this coaching seminar each coach will have the opportunity to earn their VDOT Running Coach certification by passing Dr. Daniels’ online exam following the clinic. Each guest will have up to three months to study the material covered by Dr. Daniels and can review Daniels’ Running Formula before taking the test. Pass and get certified by the “World’s Best Running Coach”!

Today we launched a new training program for the Brooklyn Half Marathon. Our goal was to design a complete training package for the coolest half marathon in the country. To do that we teamed up with our favorite partners in NYC: Brooklyn Running Co. and Finish Line PT.
Olympic 1500m runner Malindi Elmore has teamed up with legendary coach Dr. Jack Daniels and The Run SMART Project to offer her 1500m/1-Mile training plan to the public. Until this point Malindi has only been available as a private coach through Run SMART. This past spring she helped a private client go from 4:33 down to 4:13 in just one year! Now, in a matter of minutes runners of all levels can customize her 12-week training plan and gain access to her favorite workouts.
NEW YORK (October 2nd, 2014) — Professional distance runner Janet Cherobon-Bawcom has teamed up with legendary coach Dr. Jack Daniels and The Run SMART Project to offer her 10k and half marathon training plans to the public. Bawcom, U.S. 10k Olympian and 15k Champ, has unveiled some of her training secrets to help other runners get faster.
Runners of all levels can now do similar workouts as Bawcom, including hills, fartleks, intervals, etc. but at the appropriate paces thanks to Dr. Jack Daniels and his famous VDOT formulas.
“These plans were adapted from the training I used to lower my 10k time from 34:19 to 32:30 and in preparation for my first 1:10 in the half-marathon,” says Cherobon-Bawcom. I hope you’ll find the same sort of benefit no matter what your goals are!”

“Jack has already played an influential role in my development as a runner as well as hundreds and thousands of others and I am confident he can help me get back to my full potential as a marathon runner,” Hall wrote on his official website.

SpeedPass, New York City’s only custom group training option, enters into its second season later this month. Most local speedwork groups are fun and motivating but they lack personalization.
