Run SMART Client Sets Three PR’s In Three Races

Run SMART Project client John Robinson of Savannah, GA continued his impressive racing with PR’s in the 10k and 1/2 marathon over the last two weekends. This makes three PR’s out of three races for Robinson in 2010. Robinson has been working with Run SMART coach Mike Smith for 11 months.

On February 27th Robinson blasted 40:35 for first in his age group and 10th overall at the Seacrest Partners Race for Preservation 10k in Savannah, GA, beating his previous PR by 3 minutes. “I knew John was ready for 10k faster than he had ever run before, but I have to say I was surprised at how fast it was. We had taken a few weeks very easy and were just beginning a long marathon phase and had planned on using this as a good workout. The situation was a great one, he executed perfectly, and showed that he is able to race off of the year we’ve invested in proper training.” said Smith.

Stuart White Leads GE To USCAA Title

Run SMART client Stuart White finished 18th overall in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Mardi Gras Marathon in a time of 2:50:02. He split 1:24 at the half so it’s important to note his even splits throughout. Also, this year the United States Corporate Athletics Association (USCAA) Marathon Championships was held in conjunction with the Mardi Gras Marathon so their was some team competition added to the mix. We’re proud to report that Stuart led the way for GE as their top scorer, helping them reclaim the national corporate team title! Full results for the race are here.
